Tabatha Lesona Rudisill Elder

Tabatha Lesona Rudisill Elder, 50, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2016.

She was born July 29, 1966, in Mecklenburg County, daughter of Barbara Cole of South Carolina and the late Johnny Rudisill.

Tabatha worked for Mitchell Gold and was a Tennessee Titans, NHRA drag car racing, and a die-hard Carolina Tar Heels fan. Tabatha loved being outdoors, especially swimming and sun tanning. She attended East Taylorsville and Millersville Baptist Church.

Including her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 15 years, Kevin Elder of the home; a daughter, Jessie Cook of Fayetteville; a son, Anthony Cook and wife Kristine of Sanford; a grandchild, Taylynn Cook; a brother, Johnny Rudisill of Texas; a sister, Johnya Hawkins and husband Keith of Kentucky; aunts, Jane West of South Carolina, and Cathy Rudisill and husband Dean of North Carolina; uncles, Dean and Dennis Rudisill of North Carolina; a nephew, Brian Hawkins and kids – Michael and Robert; a niece, Tony McCain and kids – Maddyson, Nicole, TJ, and Johna; and long time friend of the family, Brenda Price.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, 2016, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 p.m., at East Taylorsville Baptist Church, and a memorial service will follow. Rev. Jamie Steele, Rev. Bill Orren, and Rev. Gary Jennings will be officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
