United Way reverse drawings set for Aug. 2
United Way of Alexander County Board of Directors will be selling 1,000 tickets for this year’s fundraiser. Ticket donations of $5.00 will run from May 1 – July 31, 2008. The reverse drawings will take place on Saturday, August 2, at the United Way “Goes to the Dogs” Bark in the Park kickoff at Matheson Park. The reverse drawings are: 1st - $100; 2nd - $250; 3rd - $500; 4th - $750 and 5th - $1,000. Entrants do not have to be present to win. Winners will receive gas cards that can be used at Wal-Mart in Taylorsville and Hickory on Hwy 64-70. To purchase tickets, call the United Way office at 828-632-9565 or purchase from Board members Chris Bowman, Hank Byrd, Marie Chapman, Ron Downs, Rick French, Andrew Jackson, Jennifer Martin, Dr. Jeff Peal, Jeff Roseberry, Ryan Sergent, Dennis Smart, or Trudy Wike. |
