ACPR plans fall sign-up dates during July

The Alexander County Parks and Recreation Department has announced its sign-up dates for fall athletics. This year, the ACPR will offer youth flag football (ages 5-7), JV tackle football (ages 8-9), and varsity tackle football (ages 10-12).

In addition, youth soccer will offer three age divisions: (5-6, 7-9, and 10-12).

Again this year, fall baseball and softball will be offered for players ages 7-12. Two age divisions are planned.

Sign-ups are currently being accepted at the ACPR office located at the old Wittenburg School. Sign-ups will be taken through Friday, August 1, at 5 p.m. No registrations will be accepted after August 1. In addition, athletes may sign up in their home community. The sign-up fee is $30 per player.

• Sugar Loaf - Saturday, July 19 & 26, 10am-2pm, Salem Park
• Stony Point - Saturday, July 19 & 26, 10am-2pm, Stony Point School
• Taylorsville - Saturday, July 26, 10am-2pm, Taylorsville School
