Liniel Louise Howie Keever

Liniel Louise Howie Keever, 88, of Hiddenite, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Liniel was born on March 9, 1928, in York County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wallace Horace Howie and Eunice Adkins Howie. Liniel moved to Alexander County as a young child.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beauford Keever; a son-in-law, Bobby Wilson; a brother, Jack Howie; and a grandson, Ethan Keever Bennett.
Liniel was a homemaker, loved her flowers, yard work, and was a good neighbor and friend to many. Liniel also owned and operated Liniel’s Clothing Store, in Hiddenite, for many years. Liniel was a faithful member of Hiddenite Baptist Church, a former Sunday school teacher and Girl Scout troop leader.
Liniel is survived by a son, Link Keever (Angie) of Hiddenite; three daughters, Judy K. Wilson of Taylorsville, Debra Keever (Ken Bennett) of Statesville, and Carol Keever of Hiddenite; a brother, Frank Howie (Betty) of Merrills Inlet, South Carolina; a sister, Joe Ann Grant (Ed) of Kingstree, South Carolina; Four grandchildren, Tamra W. Roberts (Roger), Talisha W. Logan (Chad), and Rocky Keever (Atina), all of Hiddenite, and Russell Keever (Amber) of Little Rock, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Brianna Roberts of Taylorsville, Brooklyn Roberts and Callie Logan, both of Hiddenite, and Charlotte Keever of Little Rock, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Judy Walker, Linda Dalton, Nancy Mecimore, and Irene Shedrow.
A service of remembrance and visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016, at Hiddenite Baptist Church, 250 Hiddenite Church Road, Hiddenite. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m., in the sanctuary, prior to the service. A service celebrating Liniel’s life will begin at 5:00 p.m. Rev. Don Ingle will officiate.
