Benny Ashley Daniels

Benny Ashley Daniels, 78, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly, at his residence, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

Benny was born on April 17, 1938, in Alexander County, son of the late Jeffie Eli and Zella Munday Daniels.

In business, he was known as Ben Daniels & Associates; his motto was “Buy, sell, or trade anything.” In addition to being very frugal, he was an avid golfer and loved traveling.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by two sisters, Janis Dyson and Loretta McCabe; and a brother, Curtis.

Benny leaves to cherish his memory a son, Brandan Ashley Daniels of Vale; two daughters, Tria Ashley Daniels of Statesville, and Lee Jan Daniels Waddell of Taylorsville; a special friend, Dale Johnson of Statesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in Taylorsville. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow with the family.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to Liledoun Baptist Church for the Crossroads Mission, PO Box 475, Taylorsville, NC 28681; or Safe Harbor Rescue Mission, 210 2nd St SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
