The Alexander County Firemen’s Association will present The Magic of Mike Snyder & Donna on Saturday, October 22, at Alexander Central Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 PM and show time is at 7:00 PM.
The internationally acclaimed, award-winning illusion team of Mike Snyder & Donna will be bringing their unique show, back by popular demand, to Taylorsville for the sixth year in a row and each year they feature some different effects and routines to keep the show fresh and different for those who have enjoyed the show previously. The magical duo has entertained audiences in 33 states from Maine to Southern Florida, and from Hollywood, California to the beach resorts and casinos along the Atlantic. Internationally they have performed in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, and Puerto Rico. They have also appeared on International Cruise Ships, Casinos, Major Corporations, Theatres, and Amusement Parks including Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA, America’s largest free admission amusement park, where they recently celebrated their 23rd consecutive year of performing at that park.
During The Magic of Mike Snyder & Donna show, people appear and disappear right before your very eyes, and with Halloween not far away there may even be a “haunted” ghost story or two as well. Mike and Donna also feature some rare illusions in their show including an illusion called “The Beer Barrel”, during which Donna is apparently pierced by twelve wooden rods and swords but somehow remains unharmed. Mike and Donna are one of just a handful of artists worldwide to perform this rare illusion. They will also feature some classic illusions and audience favorites like their version of Houdini’s World Famous Metamorphosis illusion, which has been called the world’s fastest illusion. Mike warns, “Don’t blink, or you’ll miss it!
