Bobby Kent Lackey

Bobby Kent Lackey, 78, of Taylorsville, passed away at Sherrills Ford Catawba Regional Hospice on October 23, 2016.

Bobby was born on February 7, 1938, in Caldwell County, son of the late Boyd and Nellie Keller Lackey. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Bobby was a hard working and generous man. He enjoyed going to the flea market. Bobby loved and took care of his entire family.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Tommy and Buddy Lackey; and a sister, Estelle Fox.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Jeanette Teague Lackey; a daughter, Cynthia Tucker and special friend Alan Wagner; a granddaughter, Ashlie Walker and husband Kelly; three great-grandsons, Bryson Weikle and Kolton and Kason Walker, and Bryson’s dad, Kevin Weikle; a brother, Clyde Lackey; two sisters, Melba White and Bezzie Myers; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 2:00-3:30 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m in the Chapel. Rev. Mark Morris will be officiating. Burial will take place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
