Business owner responds to vandals

Kenneth Bennett, of Bennett’s Tree Service, is shown on Tuesday, Nov. 8, as he related how he had responded to a recent vandalism attack on his property. Bennett, a Donald Trump supporter, said his pro-Trump wooden sign was vandalism with a pro-Clinton message recently. He made this large “Trump Train” log carving in response to the vandals.
Local businessman Kenneth Bennett, of Bennett’s Tree Service, stopped by The Times’ office on Tuesday, Nov. 8, to relate how he had responded to a recent vandalism attack on his property.
Bennett, a supporter of Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, had carved a large tree stump bearing a pro-Trump message on his property in southeastern Alexander County. However, a vandal had spray-painted over the stump with “Clinton 2016.”
Undeterred, in response Bennett used his chainsaw skills to cut a pro-Trump message into a large log, and filled in the words with bright red paint to make it more visible. He had the huge log on the back of his flatbed truck on Tuesday in downtown Taylorsville.
If I lived in Alexandra County and needed my trees trimmed Mr. Bennett would definitely be the service I would contact! Not because he is voting Republican but that he is standing on his on convections and not following the status quo!
I’ve done business with this man, he does great work and is a man of his word.
Thank God for Alexander County citizens like Mr. Bennett. His response to political intolerance is commendable regardless of affiliation. Thanks, Mr. Bennett, for your commitment to Make America Great Again. With God all things are possible.
Thank you, Mr Bennett for coming forward with your story. Standing on our convictions is a lonely position to take in this current world; and it is refreshing to know there is another person out there with a backbone. God bless you, Sir.
So glad you are not intimidated to voice your support for president elect Trump. We are in business for ourselves and are so glad to have a business man in the White House again! I’m going to call you and see if you can clean out a gutter. We need a bucket truck in back where it’s 3 stories high.
