Rhyne, Bowman, Brzykcy re-elected to School Board
The Alexander County Board of Education will keep the same faces for a few more years, according to unofficial results from the Alexander County Board of Elections.
Scott A. Bowman was re-elected to District 1 and Caryn Brzykcy was re-elected to serve District 3, as both were unopposed. Bowman had 4,540 votes (there were 80 write-ins for other names). Brzykcy garnered 1,864 votes and there were 101 write-ins. The Times did not contact the two unopposed candidates on Election Night.
In District 4, incumbent Brigette Rhyne won over 1,678 voters, while challengers Brian Walker had 1,510 and Rodger “Peanut” White had 1,247. There were 13 write-ins for other names.
“I am honored to serve on the Board of Education for another four years. I want to thank everyone who supported me. I will continue to work for the betterment of Alexander County Schools,” Rhyne related.
