Carol Franklin

Carol Franklin, 82, of Jay Burke Road, Taylorsville, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House.

Mrs. Franklin was born September 22, 1934, in Stanford, Connecticut, daughter of the late Alfred Carmen and Helen Spader Carmen.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Bingo player and loved playing Yahtzee and other games.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Swegman; two sisters, her twin, Betty Greico, and Helen DiChiara; and two brothers, Arthaur Carmen and Freddy Carmen.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Sheryl Williams and husband Michael of Taylorsville, and Susan Montgomery and husband Michael Trytek of Hickory; two sons, Michael Cromwell and wife Heather of Eustis, Florida, and Wayne Montgomery of Toledo, Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
