Walter Perry Patterson

Walter Perry Patterson, 67, of Hamlet Place, Ronda, passed away, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home, in Wilkes County.

He was born February 2, 1950, in Alexander County, son of the late Wade Perry Patterson, Sr. and Mary Lynn Johnson. He was a professional truck driver and musician. He was also a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Patterson; his second wife, Kim Patterson; and a brother, Wade Patterson, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Carroll-Patterson of the home; four sons, Barry Patterson and wife Carolyn, David Keever and wife Autumn, Jackie Keever and wife Ellen, and James Keever and wife Angela, all of Taylorsville; a daughter, Mary Ellen Rose and husband Charles of Princeton, West Virginia; a sister, Connie Chatham and husband Wayne of Hiddenite; several step-children; many grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 965 Pilgrim Church Road, Hiddenite. Rev. Wayne Tucker will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
