The Alexander Central Varsity Softball Team dug itself out of an early 4-0 hole to earn a come-from-behind win over the previously unbeaten Mooresville Blue Devils on Tuesday, March 21, at Taylorsville’s Central Park.
Mooresville looked poised to hand ACHS its first loss of the season, taking a 4-0 leading through two frames.

The six-run uprising put Alexander (10-0, 5-0) in front to stay .
ACHS leadoff hitter Lanie Goforth’s recent hot streak at the plate continued Tuesday as the sophomore tallied four hits in the Cougar win.
Krider added a pair of hits and three RBI.
In the pitching circle, Kendra Mayes ran her record to 6-0 on the season with a complete game effort. Mayes shook off a slow start to limit Mooresville to just two runs over the final five innings to claim the win.
