Sherrill named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Vada Blue Sherrill was named the Conference Carolinas Softball Player of the Week, while Limestone College’s Josie Weber was named Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Mar. 13-19, the Conference announced today.
Sherrill, a sophomore from Hiddenite, N.C., led the Falcons to a 5-1 week, including a win over No. 23 Limestone. She batted .412 with seven hits, nine runs scored, five stolen bases and one RBI on the week.
A junior from Stanley, N.C., Weber picks up her third straight pitcher of the week after posting a 2-0 record last week. In two games against No. 5 Lenoir-Rhyne and No. 14 Pfeiffer, Weber gave up two earned runs and nine hits, but struck out eight batters and improved to 11-1 on the season.
