Roberta Dunbar Glass “Bobbi”

Roberta Dunbar Glass “Bobbi” passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at her home, in Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise Dunbar; her sister, Susan Aurenburg; and beloved daughter, Rebecca Lynn Glass Nunnaley.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Timothy Glass; son, Andrew and partner Eddie; her adored grandson, Cole; her sister, Anna Henderson of Massachusetts; a brother, David Dunbar of Massachusetts; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Bobbi’s personal affection for people showed in her attitude, work, and love of people, especially her husband Tim.

Having been Baptized at the Porter Congregational Church of Brockton, Massachusetts, her life in the Baptist faith continued with Tim at Midwood Baptist Church of Charlotte, and First Baptist Church of Taylorsville for a total of 52 years.

Bobbi was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on March 27, 1943, attending Brockton High School and Kings College in Charlotte.

Bobbi was best known for her work in Alexander County at the Christian Crisis Center, Alexander Baptist Association, Attorneys Joel Harbinson, Kim Taylor and Edward Hedrick Sr., and Schneider Mills.

Vistation will be held 3:00-4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. Funeral will follow at 4:00 p.m., with burial at Taylorsville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to First Baptist Church of Taylorsville, PO Box 305, Taylorsville, NC, 28681; and the beloved Hospice of Alexander County, 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
