John Steele Henderson Burns, 83, of Statesville, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Maple Leaf Health Care.

Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at South River UMC Cemetery, 2540 Cheatham Ford Road, Hiddenite. Rev. Paul Hill and Rev. Scott Eanes will officiate. Visitation will be immediately after the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.
