Ruth Mary McCrackin Freeman

Ruth Mary McCrackin Freeman, 80, of Taylorsville, passed January 3, 2018, at Valley Nursing Center, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 19 1937, in Habersham County, Georgia, daughter of the late Judge Patrick and Icey Evans McCrackin. She was a homemaker and attended children in her home. She was a member of New Life Community Baptist Church in Statesville.

Those left to cherish, her memory include her daughter, Julie Freeman of Taylorsville; two brothers, Sylvia McCrackin of Taylorsville, and Burns McCrackin of Statesville; and a sister, Lona Jordan of Statesville.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at New Life Community Baptist Church, 496 Jennings Rd., Statesville. Rev. Samuel Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be private by the family.
