Nancy Harrington Kerley
Nancy Harrington Kerley, 70, of Taylorsville, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House.
Ms. Kerley was born March 15, 1948, in Catawba County, the daughter of the late Max Jarvis Harrington and Betty Jean Bentley Harrington.
She had worked in accounting and tax preparation and was also a bail bondsman for an extended period of time. She was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church, where she played the piano and also played for several other churches. She loved playing the piano and gospel singing. Nancy dearly loved her granddaughters and her great-grandson, she was proud to be their MawMaw Nancy.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Will Butt, and a nephew, Jeffrey Butt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dwight Watts of Taylorsville; her granddaughters, Katlyn Watts and McKenzie Gilreath, both of Taylorsville, and Ashlie Walker and her three boys, all of Taylorsville; her great-grandson, Kole Isenhour of Taylorsville; her sister, Rebecca Harrington of Taylorsville; beloved family pet, Sweetheart; and a number of cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Rocky Springs United Methodist Church. Pastor Bob Herron and Pastor Mickey Moree will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.
