MeLinda Ann Parsons Jackson, 52, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 7, 1965, in Alexander County, to the late Ned Calvin and Edna Sue Parsons. MeLinda was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church and was known for loving her children and grandchildren more than anything else.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her niece, Hanna Parsons.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 28 years, Freddie Jackson; her four sons, Patrick Parsons, Brandon Parsons, Preston Parsons, and Freddie Jackson, Jr.; the daughter she never had, Tia King of Hickory; 18 grandchildren; a sister, Janice King of Hickory; three brothers, Tony Parsons of North Wilkesboro, Anthony Parsons, and Barry Parsons; a special cousin that she loved the same as a sister, Tonya Horton; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Alexander Funeral Service, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The wake for Mrs. Parsons will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at St. Johns Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes before burial at St. John’s Baptist Church.
