Jerry C. Hartness

Jerry C. Hartness, 57, of Statesville, passed away May 4, 2018.

Jerry was born, September 24, 1960, in Iredell County, to Maxine Hartness McHargue. He was employed by Hubbard Farms.

In addition to his mother, other loved ones left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Shelia Denise Forrester of Mt. City, Tennessee; six brothers, Billy Glenn, Rodney McHargue, Phillip McHargue, Christopher McHargue, and Randy McHargue, all of Statesville; and a sister, Angie Holder of Stony Point.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Liberty Baptist Church, 137 Pulpwood Lane, Statesville. Rev. Roger Holland will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist. Burial will be in the Sandy Ridge UMC Cemetery, 1497 Friendship Road, Statesville.
