Mary “Phyllis” Ophelia Jolly Wike
Mary “Phyllis” Ophelia Jolly Wike, 70, of Taylorsville, left this world unexpectedly for her heavenly home on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on June 22, 1947, in Alexander county, the daughter of the late Clete and Pauline Jolly. During her career, she worked in the furniture industry as a sewer. She was a member at Salem Lutheran Church.
Phyllis loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and watching them play ball. They were very dear to her heart. She will greatly be missed, but she will forever be in our hearts.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean, Joan, and Faye; brothers, Jimmy and Bobby; and father-in-law, Atwell Wike.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Royd Curlee Wike of the home; daughter, Kim Fairchild and husband Mark of Taylorsville; sons, Alan Wike and wife Michelle of Tennessee, and Jamie Wike of Statesville; grandchildren, Kaley, Kyler and Karly Fairchild, and Dalton and Riley Wike; sister, Margret Bumgarner; niece, Dee Dee Canter; sister-in-law, Pat Fox; and a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal services planned. There will be a private family service held later.
