Clara Jean St.Clair Warren

Clara Jean St.Clair Warren, 85, of the Hiddenite Community, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Bermuda Commons Nursing Center in Advance.

She was born on December 20, 1932, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Roby Daniel and Ola Bentley St.Clair. Clara was retired from Leviton Manufacturing and was a member at Unity Christian Church in Stony Point.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, and working in her flowers. Clara had a special love for her family and her best friend, her dog “BoBo.”

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbern E. Warren; sisters, Edna Mitchell, Margie Burgess, and Marie Berry; and brothers, Artie, Clyde, and Glade St.Clair.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael Warren and wife Sheila of Advance, and Ken Warren and wife Sheila of Wilmington; grandchildren, Amanda Warren of Pasadena, California, and Christopher Warren of Cary; brothers, Curtis St.Clair and wife Doris, and J.D. St.Clair and wife Florence; along with a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends and neighbors, Don and Pat Mason of Hiddenite.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., at Unity Christian Church in Stony Point. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Rob Swaim, Joshua Burruel, Justin Burruel, Christopher Warren, Daniel Dudley, and Rodney Houser.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Unity Christian Church at 7860 NC 90, Stony Point, NC 28678.

    Clara was one of my favorite people to see when I visited Bermuda Commons. She was always happy and loved to laugh. How I will miss her at Monday bingo. She always made my day. A most delightful lady. I know God is enjoying her now. May He bless her family!
