Maxine Aaron Icard Hall, 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury.
She was born on October 14, 1934, in Alexander County, to the late Forrest Raydron Icard and Mazie Amanda Hollar Icard. Maxine was a long time member of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church. She was a woman of faith and loved her Lord.
In addition to working as a seamstress in furniture, she worked in the surgical unit at Frye Regional Medical Center. Maxine was a visual artist, a gardener, an avid reader, and a life-long learner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bruce Edward Hall of the home; son, Ed Hall of South Carolina; daughter, Robin Hall Cogan and husband Thomas of Salisbury; grandchildren, Aaron Brown and husband Trey, Amanda Cogan Coward and husband Stephen, Joshua Cogan, Ashley Hall, and Will Hall; great-grandchildren, Brice Jenkins, Alivia Brown, and Annabelle Coward; sisters, Alice Icenhour, Jackie Minton, Rochelle Burch and husband Richard, and Georgia Diamond; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Helen Reitzel and husband Jerry.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 3:45 p.m. at the church. Pastor Mike Stone will officiate the service. Entombment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
