Gary Lynn Rogers

Gary Lynn Rogers, 78, of Taylorsville, passed away May 31, 2018, at Maple Leaf Health Care after a period of declining health.

Gary was born January 19, 1940 to the late William “Bill” Rogers and Willis Warren Rogers Pope.

Before his disability, he was self- employed as a cattle farmer and rental property manager. Gary was an avid Duke Fan and loved coaching softball and other sports with a passion. He was veteran of the Army National Guard and was a member of South River United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hinshaw Rogers of the home; two daughters, Sarah Rogers Bowman, and Caroline Rogers Bebber and husband Christy, all of Taylorsville; along with his grandchildren whom he adored, Courtney and Callie Bebber, and Christopher Bowman; and a half-brother, Todd Rogers of Taylorsville.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date.
