Methamphetamine trafficking is charged

Members of the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, along with Taylorsville Police Department, assisted officers with the NC Probation and Parole in a compliance search at a residence located on Kerley Road in Taylorsville recently.

Officers seized a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Charges have been filed against Joao Victor Dos-Passos, age 22 of Taylorsville. He is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession with intent to sell and deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Possession with intent to sell and deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $100,000. Dos-Possos has a First Appearance in District Court on June 25, 2018. The investigation is continuing.
