Mary Jo Patterson

Mary Jo Patterson, 78, of Taylorsville, passed away at Brian Center in Statesville, on June 22, 2018, after a period of declining health.

Mary Jo was born June 16, 1940, in Alexander County, to the late Otto Burris and Mary Lizzie Patterson.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Patterson and Danny Patterson.

Mary Jo is survived by a daughter, Pamela Sue Patterson of Statesville; two brothers, Thomas Patterson and wife Pat of Statesville, and Ray Patterson and wife Rosetta of Conover; a sister, Elata Webster and husband Ernest of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1300 Liberty Church Road, Hiddenite. Rev. Brad Pharr will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel, 158 Stony Point School Road, Stony Point, on Monday, June 25, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary Jo’s memory may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
