James Lee Danley

James Lee Danley, 44, of Stony Point, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 25, 2018.

James was born September 23, 1973, in Surry County, to Danny Lee and Margie Gail Danley.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Perry and Margie Joyce, and paternal grandfather, Jay Lee Danley.

James was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. He was very active in his church, helping with church groups, Kicks for Christ, Praise Band, Awana Leader, Picks for Christ, and Outward Bound Sunday School Teacher. He was employed by Iredell County School system as an electrician.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Liz” of the home; three daughters, Summer- Lea Keaton of Stony Point, Rebecca Keaton of Beckley West Virginia, and Jamie Danley of Stony Point; paternal grandparent, Mary Lorene Danley; and a sister, Chanda Cagle of Hubert.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2018, at Stony Point Baptist Church, 231 Ruritan Park Road, Stony Point. Rev. Rick Norman and Rev. Andrew Sharpe will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:45 p.m. at Stony Point Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
