Beulah Mildred White Reid

Beulah Mildred White Reid, 100, of Lenoir, passed away at her residence on August 14, 2018.

Beulah was born January 2, 1918 in Caldwell County, to the late Fred and Ada Auton White.

Beulah was a homemaker and worked on the family farm alongside her husband, the late Mack Donald Reid. She was a member of Oxford Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Reid; three brothers, Edwin, Victor and Gaither White; three sisters, Blanche Triplett, Ellen Hollar, and Hillian Bumgarner; a great-granddaughter, Hollie Michelle Lafon; and a son-in-law, Paul David Reid.

Beulah is survived by a son, Steve Reid and wife Frances of Lenoir; a daughter, Judy R. Reid of Lenoir; a daughter-in-law, Linda Reid of Taylorsville; a sister, Lois W. Shore of Lenoir; four grandchildren, Angela Hodge, Melissa Cleary, Rusty Reid, and Deah Oxford; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Micah, and Isaiah; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17 at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church, 2889 Old NC 90 Road, Taylorsville. Rev. Neal Walker and Rev. Tom Walker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service in the church.
