Loretta June Ingle Kerley

Loretta June Ingle Kerley, 68, of Country Road, Taylorsville, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Mrs. Kerley was born January 31, 1950, in Catawba County, the daughter of Myrtle Carroll Ingle of Taylorsville and the late John Haywood Ingle.

She was a high school graduate of Taylorsville High School. She also had taken cake decorating classes following high school; we always had a decorated cake for any occasion. She had worked for Huffman Hosiery, First Choice Produce, and also Lisa’s Fresh Fruits and Vegetables.

She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 35 years. She loved her flower gardens, canning, cross-stitch, sewing, crafts, pictures, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also was a stockholder of Adams Funeral Home.

Including her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Rutherford.

Including her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Robert Lee Kerley of the home; three daughters, Lisa Jones and husband Timothy, Lora Davis and friend Travis Watson, and Robin Myers and husband Steven, all of Taylorsville; six grandchildren, Tyler Jones and wife Tiffany, Andrew Jones and fiancée Lacey Bruno, Caleb Davis, Kylie Davis, Gracey Myers, and Paisley Myers, all of Taylorsville; great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Jones; great-grandson, Jacob Jones; two sisters, Cathy Childers and husband William, and Rita Stansell and husband David, all of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 -3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers include: Timothy Jones, Steven Myers, Tyler Jones, Andrew Jones, Caleb Davis, and Joshua Moore.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to: Alexander County Hospice, 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681; or American Cancer Society Local Chapter, C/O Kendra Dyson, 57 Kendra Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681.

The family would like to express a special thanks to everyone for all their thoughts, calls, visits, prayers, and every act of kindness shown toward our family and also to Alexander County Hospice for all the care they showed our loved one during her time of illness.
