Rosa Lee McAlpine Rhyne

Rosa Lee McAlpine Rhyne, 86, of Taylorsville, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

She was born on December 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Pansy McAlpine Little. Rosa worked at Carolina Glove for over 40 years and was a lifetime member at Liledoun Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening, and loved walking.

Rosa had a servant’s heart and was a very loving woman who never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family, especially around the holidays. Rosa was one of the “Best Mom’s” in the world. She will truly be missed but will forever be in our hearts.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joe Rhyne; son, Donald Randy Stafford; son-in-law, Alan Chapman; brothers, Gary and Donnie Little; and sisters, Margaret Morgan and Linda Starnes.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her sons, Dennis Rhyne and wife Julia, and Joe Rhyne, Jr. and wife Donna; daughter, Sherry Chapman and Thomas Price; daughter-in-law, Tammy Jane Oliver; brother, Wayne Little; sister, Martha Halyburton; grandchildren, Brandy Teague, Brooks and Britten Stafford, Andrea Robinette, Briana Davis, Joshua Rhyne, Laura Kingry, and Kyle, Brett and Jeff Chapman; 13 great-grandchildren; special friends, Mary Faye Cline and Ginger Cunningham; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Liledoun Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Kyle Chapman and Rev. James Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Alexander at 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
