Willie Lee Isenhour

Willie Lee Isenhour, 93, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Trinity Village.

Born August 8, 1925, in Alexander County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Pleas Hefner and Amanda Catherine Bowman Hefner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lacy Carlo Isenhour; brother and sisters, Lula Mae Reese, infant Clyde William Hefner, Mary Ruth Hefner, Carrie Leona Hefner, James Garfield Hefner, Rachel Jeanette Miller, and Sarah Barbara Bowman; and daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Isenhour.

A loving and caring person toward all her family and friends, she is survived by her sons, Lacy Michael Isenhour and Stephen Lee Isenhour (Donna), all of Hickory; grandson, John Shafer Isenhour of Greensboro; and brothers, Jake E. Hefner (Ellen), Larry Thomas Hefner, and Ronald Pleas Hefner (Brenda), all of Taylorsville. A host of extended family, cousins, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren will cherish her memory as will her devoted companion for 40 years, Robert Lowder of Charlotte.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Lutheran Church with Pastor Carol Yeager officiating. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. After the burial, the family will gather in the Fellowship Hall to visit.
