It is of great sadness to report that Mrs. Sheila Diane Morrison, 68, of Hiddenite, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Carolina Caring Hospice House.
Sheila was born on July, 27, 1950, in Alexander County, to the late Jerry and Pauline Presnell.
She loved the beach and Christmas time. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. She worked as an insurance agent for many years.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Michael Presnell; paternal grandparents, Walter and Pearl Presnell; and maternal grandmother, Mattie Lowrance.
Those family members left to cherish and honor her memory include her husband of 48 years, Dale Oran Morrison; a daughter, Lorri Workman and husband James Workman; a son, Michael Morrison and wife Natika Deal Morrison; mother-in-law, Mary Sue Morrison; grandchildren, Brandon Workman and wife Emily Fox Workman, Chase Workman, Justice Morrison, and Madison Morrison; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Workman and Zaelee Workman; sisters, Barbara Long, Brenda Tedder and husband Danny Tedder, and Rachel Tedder and husband Dwayne Tedder; a brother, Chris Presnell and wife Stephanie Presnell; nephews, Jamie Richey, and Kyle Richey and wife Ashleigh Richey; and great-nieces, Lilly Richey and Sarah Long.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Mt. Wesley Wesleyan Church. Rev. Mark Hollar and Pastor Scott Atkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Mt. Wesley Wesleyan Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Workman, Chase Workman, Justice Morrison, Kyle Richey, Jamie Richey, Chris Brown, Dwayne Tedder, and Mike Carico.
