William “Bill” Franklin Hubbard
William “Bill” Franklin Hubbard, 68, of Hiddenite, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on June 18, 1950, in Rutherford County, to the late Jessie Franklin and Mary Lela Biggerstaff Hubbard. He enjoyed gunsmithing, knives, and hunting.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Fortune.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Debra Ann Morrison Hubbard; his children, Stephanie Curry and husband Todd, Derrick Hubbard, Lela Dean and husband Bobby, and Kelly Fox and husband Dylan; a brother, Steve Hubbard and wife Christel; two sisters, Lois Wall and husband Bill, and Janice Barnes and husband Tony; and eight grandchildren, Hope Bell, Justin Thompson, Katlyn Curry, Brenden Hubbard, Jaycee Thompson, Savannah Curry, Nikki Hubbard, and Derrick James Hubbard.
The visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Berea Baptist Church starting at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Sheridon Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
