ACHS Athletics Department plans several events

The Alexander Central High School Athletics Department has announced several special events for the public in the near future.

MOE’S SPIRIT FUNDRAISER

On Thursday, December 27, Moe’s Southwest Grill in Hickory will hold a Spirit Fundraiser to support the Alexander Central High School Athletics Department.

From 4 pm until 9 pm that day, Moe’s will give 20 percent of ACHS Athletics receipts to the school. The date runs in line with the ACHS teams participating  in the Dicks Sporting Goods Tournament being played at CVCC.

Moe’s is located at 2038 US Highway 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602.

ACHS WRESTLING YOUTH NIGHT

The Alexander Central High School Wrestling Team will host Youth Night on Tuesday, January 8, when the Cougars host St. Stephens in the JV Cougar Den.

The team will hold Senior Night prior to the match with the Indians. The match will begin at 6 pm.

All elementary, middle, and high school students will be admitted free of charge. Admission is $5 for adults.

ACPR YOUTH BASKETBALL NIGHT

On Tuesday, January 29, Alexander Central will host the Alexander County Parks and Recreation Night at the school. The Cougars host Watauga with JV games set to begin at 4 pm in the JV gym. Varsity contests will begin at 6 pm in the varsity gym.

All ACPR players (in uniform) and coaches (with passes) will be admitted free of charge. Admission is $6 for adults.
