Johnny Edgar Hill

Johnny Edgar Hill, 71, of the Bethlehem Community, Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on December 4, 1947, in Scotland County, the son of the late Lester Douglas and Opal Venable Hill. During his career, Johnny worked as a sheet metal mechanic. He was a member at Promise Land Ministries.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Patricia Diane Hill of the home; sons, Johnny Fredrick Hill of Bethlehem, Kenneth Hill of Viewmont, and James Hill of Huntersville; step-son, Javeed Hussain of Bethlehem; and sister, Wanda Taylor of Valdese.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Promise Land Ministries. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
