Rev. Steven Wayne Bumgarner

Reverend Steven Wayne Bumgarner, 60, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on March 20, 1958, in Alexander County, to Donald Houston and Janie Bumgarner Sprinkle. He was the pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church for 10 years. He was a devoted member at Liledoun Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 37 years, Cynthia Louise Fisher Bumgarner; and his father and mother-in-law, Cainie and Pat Bumgarner.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Little River Baptist Church from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Chapman, Rev. Tanner Mundy,  and Rev. Eddie Jolly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, all donations may be made to Home Health of Iredell County at 541 Gaither Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
