Mary Ellen Lail Teague

Mary Ellen Lail Teague, 90, of Taylorsville, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem on June 4, 2019.

Born to the late Mack Daniel and Minnie Parlier Lail, she was a member of the Fellowship Advent Christian Church. Mary will be remembered for her wit, her frankness, and her love of her family and flowers.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Teague; a daughter, Vickie Salcido; three brothers, Pete, Buster and Harold Lail; a sister, Berlene Jarvis; and a grandson, Brad Teague.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Teague include her son, David Turner and wife Kathy of Barefoot Bay, Florida; her sister, Catherine Hefner of Bethlehem; three step-sons, Roger Teague and wife Debbie of Taylorsville, Michael Teague of Taylorsville, and Lynn Teague and wife Carolyn of Bethlehem; two step-daughters, Deborah Moretz, and Patty Spencer and husband Tim, all from Bethlehem; nine living grandchildren, Jennifer Turner Russell, Joseph Lee Turner, Sherman Moretz, ReDina Moretz, Chad Teague, Richard Johnathan Teague, Joshua Jowers, Jessica Taylor, and Jeannie Dawson; along with 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. at Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor David Ross officiating.

Pallbearers include: Joseph Turner, Mark Russell, Caleb Turner, Chad Teague, Richard Luke Moretz, and Sherman Moretz.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.

    My aunt Mary always treated me and our family members with love and respect. She was a generous person who would share whatever she had with others. We will miss her, but we know we will see her again in heaven.
