Richard Lynn Crain

Richard Lynn Crain, 72, of Hickory, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

He was born July 4, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Sophie Hale Crain. Richard was a member of Hickory Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a United States Army Veteran.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 10 years, Haide Bantugan Crain of the home; sons, Jeffery Lynn Crain of Raleigh, and Rovard Bantugan; daughters, Lora Denee’ Crain of Gastonia, and Jennifer Renee’ Crain of Hickory; brothers, James Hale and Kelly Hale, both of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and sisters, Stella Culpepper of Trenton, Georgia, Kathy Hitchcock and Patricia Haven, both of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Cheryl Wolfe of Athens, Tennessee.

A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., at Hickory Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hickory. Pastor Art Randall will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., at Hickory Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
