David Phillip Sprinkle

David Phillip Sprinkle, 70, of Hiddenite, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Gordon’s Hospice House in Statesville.

David was born May 31, 1949, in Iredell County, the son of the late Thomas Lee Sprinkle and Wilmeth Sharpe Sprinkle.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to everyone he met. David was a retired dairy farmer, working his entire life on the family-owned farm, Sprinkle Dairy Farm. His favorite pastimes were enjoying nature, spending time with family, and being Pop Pop to his grandchildren. His love of life and family was unconditional.

He was reunited in heaven with his dad and mom, Thomas Lee and Wilmeth Sharpe Sprinkle, and sister, Gloria Dean Sprinkle Bothe.

Those living to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 21 years, Maryanne Sprinkle; his daughter, Angela Sizemore and husband Eric of Stony Point; step-daughters, April Oxentine and husband Darin of Hiddenite, and Keri Revens and husband Steve of Charlotte; brother, Gerald Sprinkle and wife Judy of Lenoir; grandchildren, Grant Sizemore, Tristan Oxentine, Riley Oxentine, Emma Sizemore, and Lily Oxentine; and nephew, Michael Bothe and wife Danyiele of Statesville.

A private graveside service will be held at South River United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hiddenite. Rev. Chuck Hager will officiate. A celebration of life for friends and family will he held at a later date.

Pallbearers include: Eric Sizemore, Darin Oxentine, Steve Revens, Michael Bothe II, Michael Bothe III, and Phillip Bothe.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Local Chapter, c/o Kendra Dyson, 57 Kendra Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681; or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.

    im so sorry to here about Davids passing I lost a really great Neighbor and Friend . My thoughts and prayers go out to his Wife and entire family …… Who so ever believeth in me shall not parish but have everlasting life Amen .
