Samuel Eugene Yoder, 59, of Johnson Farm Road, Hiddenite, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his residence.
Samuel was born April 10, 1960, in Geauga County, Ohio, the son of Mary Ann Hochstetler Yoder and the late Alfred Yoder.
Although he was a farmer at heart, he worked in construction for his last number of years. He was a faithful member of Dayspring Christian Fellowship. He loved his family very much and was always showing them that he cared. He enjoyed meeting people and he always had time for them, and he was a very kind man.
Including his mother, those left to cherish and honor his memory include his wife, who he married on June 4, 1983, Christina Miller Yoder; son, Jonathan (Tina) Yoder and their children, Sierra, Willow, and Laurel; daughter, Janelle (Jason) Yoder Fehr and their children, Brooklyn, Jaxon, and Denver; daughter, Janean (Evan) Yoder Sommers and their children, Donevan and Lincoln; son, Jared Yoder and fiancée Amy Boerger and their daughter, Heidi Yoder; son, Justin Yoder; brothers and sisters, Joyce (Ken) Yutzy, Grace Yoder, Lavern (Mary) Yoder, Jim (Naomi) Yoder, Leon (Anita) Yoder, and adopted brother, Anthony McCormick.
The visitation will be drive thru from 1-6 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Dayspring Christian Fellowship, 1340 Berea Church Quincy Rd., Hiddenite, NC 28636. A graveside service will be held at 8 a.m., Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Dayspring Christian Fellowship with Vernon Troyer officiating and Laverne Yoder.
