Janet Edith Schoeppler
Janet Edith Schoeppler, of Shoreham, New York, formerly of Taylorsville, died on April 25, 2020 at the age of 82 from complications of Covid-19.
Janet, known as Jan to her friends, was born on June 25, 1937 in Great Neck, New York, to parents, George and Janet Shepherd. Her mother passed away when she was 13 and her Aunt Hattie stepped in to raise her. Janet and late husband, George, were very active in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She will be loved and missed by her sons, Michael and Paul, and other friends and family.
Janet will be cremated and her remains will be buried with her beloved husband, George, in Salisbury National Veterans Cemetery at a later date due to restrictions of Covid-19.
Janet was a proud Military wife. If so desire,d donations to the Disabled American Veterans would be a lovely tribute at www.DAV.org.
Jan was a very good friend of mine, sharing the same birthday one year apart. We were both active in church and the Alexander Senior Center. I pray that her sons notify us when Jan’s burial will be. There are many many people here who will want to attend. God bless her family.
Hi Teri, my name is Delma the widow of Jan’s son George. Im sorry that not of all of the obituary was published, it was edited short. NY is unfortunately in bad shape from Covid. When I know when we will be able to bring her to NC, I will try to get that info published. Beth Duncan was kind enough to submit the obit for us.
I wanted to let you know that the mass intention at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Sunday, May 17th was in memory of Janet. I did not know her, but I have heard a lot of good things about her and George. May God’s blessings be upon your family at this time.
