Barbara “Barb” Ann Treadway Dolinger

Barbara “Barb” Ann Treadway Dolinger

Barbara “Barb” Ann Treadway Dolinger, 74, of Hiddenite, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 after a long battle of lung cancer.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, yard sales, camping, and shopping. She was born Monday, March 4, 1946, in Boomer, of Wilkes County, to the late Fred Alexander Treadway and Minnie Tedder Dingler and husband Orvilla “Shorty” Dingler.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Sue Tilley, Mary Louise Shumate, and Effie Jean Cline; a brother, James Fred Treadway; two nieces; a nephew; and four brothers-in-law who were like her brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years that she loved dearly, Gerald James Dolinger of the home; daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Burke and husband Dale of Taylorsville; son, Timmy Dolinger of Hiddenite; four grandchildren, Dustin and wife Shanna Burke, Daniel and Keira Burke, and Dawson Dolinger; three great-grandchildren, Mayson, Micah and Cayden Burke; two sisters, Francis Brewer, and Georgia and Hop Teague of Taylorsville; with a number of nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

The family would like to say a very special thank you to Elizabeth Austin and the staff of Hospice of Iredell County.

There will be no formal visitation and service at this time. The family will conduct a Memorial Service at a later date.

Condolences may be e-mailed to the family by visiting our website at www.chapmanfuneralhome.com.
