Vickey “Vic” (Bill) Griffin

Vickey “Vic” (Bill) Griffin, 66, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly January 27, 2021 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 9, 1954, in Iredell County, to the late Esby Lee Griffin and Francis Mae Cain Griffin. Vickey was an Automotive Salesman. He was also a member of Third Creek Baptist Church.

Vickey is survived by his wife, Betty Tearry Griffin of the home; a son, Victor Edward Griffin of the home; two step-daughters, Diamond Eggleston of Troutman, and Jasmine White of Statesville; three brothers, Ken Griffin of Statesville, Ernest Griffin of Stony Point, and Dwight Griffin of Morganton; and four sisters, Sheridan Jackson  of Florida, Janice Oakley of Statesville, Joyce Smyre Gause of Wilmington, and Nancy Slater of Charlotte.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2021 at Third Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tommy G. Carpenter will officiate. The body will lie in state at Chapman Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. We ask that all CDC guidelines be followed.
