Kermit Crouch Patterson

Kermit Crouch Patterson, 95, of Stony Point, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Iredell Health System.

Kermit was born on December 3, 1925, in Alexander County, to the late Arthur Quintin and Vanona Crouch Patterson. Kermit was a dairy farmer by trade. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over fifty years. Kermit served on the Farm Service Agency County Committee. He also served our country in the US Merchant Marine Corps during WWII.

Along with his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Ingram Patterson; four brothers, Quintin Patterson (Evelyn), Willard Patterson (Julia), Frederick Patterson (Anne), and Kenneth Patterson; a sister, Francis Bunton (Atwell); and two half-sisters, Alma Goble and Juanita Smith (Ebb).

Those left to cherish the memories of Kermit include two sons, Tony Patterson (Janet) and Tracy Patterson (Anita); and sister-in-law, Joyce Patterson; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for the Patterson Family will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Sunday, May 23, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., with the service following at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Dan Spears, Rev. Ervil Jones, and Rev. Taylor Pennell will officiate. Burial will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Gardner, Sam Gardner, Ben Gardner, Hughey Gardner, Spencer Patterson, and Carter Patterson.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
