Karen Jones Canipe

Karen Jones Canipe, 57, of Star Drive, Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at her home.

Karen was born March 27, 1964, in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Hobert Jones and Sarah Charlotte Jones.

She worked at Carpenter Company for many years and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her animals, Mollie and Nikki, who stayed by her side during her illness. She loved her family deeply, her husband of 19 years and sons were by her side.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include her husband of 19 years, Thomas Canipe of the home; three sons, Ronnie Byrd and Matthew Byrd, both of Taylorsville, and Jakob Gunnells of Texas; six grandchildren, Kyra Byrd, Isaac Byrd, Ryder Byrd, Myah Byrd, Ariana Byrd, and Gweneviere Byrd; two brothers, Alan Jones of California, and Dennis Jones of Seattle, Washington; her sister, Kathy Jones of Seattle, Washington; a very special non-adopted son, Randy Turpin; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and a loud shout out to all the friends at Carpenter Company for their love and support.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dale Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
