Paul Dean Crouch
Paul Dean Crouch, 83, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at his home.
Paul was born July 10, 1938, in Alexander County, the son of the late Ray Crouch and Blanche Dyson Crouch.
He was a drafted US Army veteran and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church but attended Calvary Baptist Church. He worked for Broyhill Furniture for 39 years as a supervisor.
When his health permitted, he enjoyed walking and was a great sewer. He made curtains, pillows, and other home goods. He loved growing tomatoes and canning. He loved his granddaughter, Mallory, very much along with his church girls, Kirby and Raylee.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Childers Crouch, who he was married to for 58 years and devoted his time as her caregiver for over 10 years before her death.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his daughter, Pamela Chapman and husband Kevin, who was more like a son than a son-in-law, of Taylorsville; granddaughter, Mallory Sweet and spouse Susan Sweet of Taylorsville. He was closest to his brothers, Jeff and Earl, and his sister, JoAnne.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Dagenhart and Rev. Taylor Miller will officiate.
