Vance Boyd Little
Vance Boyd Little, age 91, of Huntersville, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
He was born on June 8, 1930, in Alexander County, the son of the late John F. Little and Amber Christopher Little.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his siblings, Edsel Little, JT Little, and Mary Neal Little.
Vance was a Korean Conflict Veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart. He retired after 30 years of service with Western Electric. After his retirement, he enjoyed refurbishing lawnmowers in his backyard. As long as his health permitted, he was an avid church goer. Visits from family and friends were always enjoyed immensely. Vance will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his daughters, Karen Raper and husband, Michael, Lorna Bennett and husband, Bruce, Marla Faulkenberry and husband, Mark, and Tracy McClintock; eight grandsons and nine great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Stony Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Phil Chapman and Eulogist Jerry Carter will officiate. Full military honors accorded by the Alexander County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, prior to the service at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
