John Howard Teague

John Howard Teague, 84, of Lake Mary, Florida, lost his long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 24, 2021, under the compassionate care of Hospice.

He was born on January 14, 1937, in Taylorsville, a son to the late John Hayden and Alma Brookshire Teague. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force. In 1972, he moved to Florida to open his own business called Apex Metal Building Company, retiring in 2013.

When John wasn’t working, he enjoyed carpentry, golfing, and fishing. He was a member of the Heathrow Golf Course and Lake Nona Golf Course. When he was able, John attended the St. Andrew’s Chapel in Lake Mary, Florida.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy Woodfin Teague; a son, Michael Teague; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Jacobson and her husband Bruce.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, in the Sawhurst Room, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, Florida.

    Nancy I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of John. It’s been several years since I’ve seen you all but know you are in my thoughts and prayers. He was such a good man.

    Nancy, I’m so sorry about John, I only wish that i had known you guys were driving by my home earlier.I really enjoyed seeing John again and playing golf with him and keeping in-touch with you guys.
