Anna May Eckenrod Llora

Anna May Eckenrod Llora of the late Silas and Ruth Eckenrod was born on July 16, 1939, in Canton, North Carolina. She moved to Lenoir with her parents circa 1942 and lived there in the Caldwell – Alexander County area until moving to Mint Hill, NC in 2013.

She was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Henry Llora from The Bronx, New York for 58 years until his death in 2017. After her husband’s death, she lived a single, independent, and active life near family until she died unexpectedly in her sleep on May 31, 2023, at home in Mint Hill, NC.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, stepmother, Esther Eggers Eckenrod, and brother, Charles Eckenrod.

She is survived by her sister, Jolene Eckenrod Williams of Blairsville, Georgia; her stepbrothers, David, Jimmy and Teddy Eggers; her stepsisters, Margie Eggers Dotson and Amy Eggers Brown; her daughter, Deborah Llora (Clark) of Lenoir; and son, Robert Llora of Huntersville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

A public memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6200 Wilgrove Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC on June 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with family receiving guests afterward.

The Llora Family greatly appreciates the many acts of kindness extended to us including your prayers and expressions of love and sympathy. We also express great appreciation for the comforting and exceptional support provided to Anna by her fellow members of the Wilgrove-Mint Hill Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses during her six years as a widow (James 1:27; 1 Timothy 5:3).

    My deepest sympathy for the family of Anna. What a blessing it has been to have such a wonderful friend 💛 I forward to seeing her again in the resurrection which is “just around the corner ” until then may we cherish the beautiful hope Anna did of living in paradise earth Rev 21:34
