Annette (Ann) Watts Bruner
Annette (Ann) Watts Bruner, 84, of Taylorsville, entered eternal rest on July 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Ann was born on October 19, 1938, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Chester Field Watts and Mildred Stokes Watts. She attended Happy Plains School in Taylorsville. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Hwy 90 East, Taylorsville.
She dedicated most of her life to her daughter, Millicent “Millie,” who she cared for unconditionally until her passing. She also worked at Shurtape for several years.
In addition to her parents, she is united in Heaven with her husband, Alexander M. Bruner “Sonny;” sister, Nancy W. Carson; sister, Clara L. Watts; sister, Rita B. Watts; sister, Chalma W. Barker; and brother, Ernest H. Watts.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include a daughter, Millicent N. Bruner of the home; three stepdaughters, Wanda Bruner Saner of Statesville, Paula Bruner of Conover, and Sherry Bruner of Conover; a stepson, Richard and wife Angie Bruner of Taylorsville; sister and caretaker, Patricia J. Watts of Taylorsville; sister, Sharon W. Glover of Vista, California; brother, James A. Watts and wife Virginia of Charlotte; brother and caretaker, Steve W. Watts and wife Sue of Taylorsville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A homegoing service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2023, at Adams Funeral Chapel, Taylorsville. Rev. Macy Jones will be officiating.
