Derrick “Chainsaw” James Lowe

Derrick “Chainsaw” James Lowe, 36, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, in Alexander County.

He was born to the late James Lowe and Angela Stansel Pennell on Friday, August 8, 1986, in Iredell County. Mr. Lowe worked in the furniture industry as a frame builder.

During his free time, he enjoyed playing video games, working on his motorcycle, and riding with his friends. Derrick loved grilling and having cookouts with his family and friends.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola Lowe, and an uncle, Wayne Stansel.

Those left to cherish the memories of Derrick include his sister, Drew Stansel; his grandmother, Carolyn Bruce Sain; aunts, Jenny Taylor (William) and Jody Holland; and uncles, Steven Stansel (Candice) and Bobby Stansel (Cora).

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the family at Alexander Funeral Service, PO Box 40, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
